Ledger has officially launched on Starknet. So we've made it easy to use yours with Argent.

Once set up, you'll be able to securely store your Starknet assets on a Ledger hardware wallet. Here's a step-by-step tutorial that shows you how to create a Ledger Account on Argent X.

Before you start, you will need:

Argent X installed on your browser
A Ledger wallet (Nano X or Nano S Plus)
Ledger Live installed on your computer

Note: it is currently not possible to convert a Standard Account or a Smart Account into a Ledger Account. If you want to use Ledger, please add a new Ledger Account.

Install the Starknet app on your Ledger device

Connect and unlock your Ledger, open Ledger Live (ensure it's updated to the latest version), navigate to “My Ledger”, select the "App catalog", search for Starknet, and install the app.

Add a new account with Ledger

Step 1: Add a new account

Open Argent X, go to accounts and add a new account. Select “Ledger Account” and continue.

Step 2: Connect your Ledger

You will be prompted to plug in and unlock your Ledger. Then, open the Starknet app in Ledger and click “Connect”. Before doing this, ensure the Starknet app is installed on your Ledger from Ledger Live.

Step 3: Select accounts to add

Argent X will detect the Starknet accounts available on your Ledger device. Select the accounts you want to add to Argent X and click “Add accounts”.

Step 4: Enjoy the combined security of Argent and Ledger

That’s it! Your Ledger accounts now appear in the account list of your Argent X.

Sign a transaction with a Ledger account

Step 1: Connect Ledger

Plug in and unlock your Ledger. Then, open the Starknet app in Ledger.

Step 2: Initiate a transaction and sign

Initiate a transaction with Argent X and click “Confirm”.

Step 3: Confirm on Ledger

You will be prompted to confirm your transaction on your Ledger device. Confirm and relax, your transaction has been broadcasted on the blockchain.
