How to fund your Argent X Starknet wallet

There are 4 different ways to fund your Argent X wallet:

1. Buying crypto with card, bank transfer or Apple Pay using Ramp, Banxa, or Topper
2. Bridging crypto from another network using StarkGate, Laterswap or Orbiter Finance
3. Sending crypto from an exchange like Coinbase or Binance using Layerswap
4. Funding your Argent X account from another Starknet wallet

Now let’s dive into these methods in more detail.

1. Buying crypto with card, bank transfer or Apple Pay in Argent X

Argent X has partnered with two leading crypto on-ramps - Ramp, Banxa and Topper - to provide a quick and easy way to purchase crypto with your local currency.

Just follow these steps:

1. Open Argent X, tap “Add funds”, then choose “Buy with card or bank transfer”
2. Choose Ramp, Banxa or Topper
3. Enter the amount you want to purchase, then complete the payment flow for Ramp, Banxa or Topper
4. Once you’ve paid, your crypto should arrive almost instantly

Depending on the amount you want to purchase, you may be asked to complete KYC (Know Your Customer). Argent X doesn’t store your details, as this is handled by either Ramp, Banxa or Topper.

2. Bridging crypto from another network to your Argent X account

StarkGate, Layerswap and Orbiter Finance are bridges for Starknet. You can use them to transfer crypto from one network to another quickly, securely and easily.

We recommend using Starknet’s official bridge, StarkGate, if you are bridging from Ethereum. For any other network, you can use Layerswap or Orbiter Finance.

Just follow these steps:

1. Open Argent X, tap “Add funds”, then choose “Bridge funds”
2. Choose “StarkGate”, “Layerswap” or  “Orbiter Finance”
3. Connect the wallet you want to use, for example Metamask, and your Argent X account (You need to connect both wallets)
4. Enter the amount you want to send to Starknet and confirm the transaction. Your transaction fee will vary based on the network you're bridging funds from. For example, Ethereum is more expensive than zkSync Era
5. Your funds will arrive in your Argent X account

3. Sending crypto from an exchange, like Coinbase or Binance, to Argent X using Layerswap  

It is not possible to send assets to your Argent X Starknet wallet directly from a big exchange (e.g. Coinbase, Binance).

But luckily, there’s a solution!

Argent X has partnered with Layerswap so that you can send ETH from all the major exchanges to Starknet.

Just follow these steps:

1. Open Argent X, tap “Add funds”, then choose “From an exchange”
2. Choose the exchange you want to send ETH from and the amount
3. Complete the transaction flow (varies based on the exchange selected)
4. Once you’ve confirmed your transaction, your funds should have arrived for a small fee

4. Funding your Argent X account with another Starknet wallet

If you have funds in another Argent X account or Starknet wallet, you can easily transfer them to your desired address.

Just follow these steps:

1. Open Argent X, tap “Add funds”, then choose “From another Starknet wallet”
2. You will then see your Starknet address and QR code. Copy this address and paste it into the Starknet wallet you want to send from. Or, scan the QR code on the Starket wallet you want to send from. (you must send from a Starknet wallet, or you’ll lose your funds)
3. Confirm the transaction, and once it goes through - your funds will arrive
