How to fund Argent Mobile

Buy crypto directly on Argent Mobile

Buy crypto as easily as buying groceries. We’re being serious! You can use Ramp or Banxa on Argent Mobile to purchase crypto via Apple Pay, Google Pay, card payment or bank transfer. 

Open Argent, tap “Fund”, then tap “Buy crypto”, and follow the instructions.

Transfer from an exchange or wallet 

With Easy Bridging, you can transfer from any exchange or wallet to Argent Mobile within seconds. Remember to bridge ETH or STRK first. You’ll need to use one as a gas token.

Important: You must use the correct network/blockchain when transferring from an exchange or wallet to Argent. If you don’t, your assets will be lost.

Follow these steps: 

1. Open Argent, tap “Fund”, then select “From an exchange or other chain”.

2. Select the chain you want use for your transfer (for example, Base).

3. Select the token you want to transfer (for example, ETH).

4. An address will be generated. Tap “Copy” to copy the address.

In this example, we use Coinbase, but the steps are similar regardless of which exchange or wallet you use. 

5. Open the exchange (for example, Coinbase) or wallet (for example, Metamask) from which you’d like to transfer. Then tap “Transfer”.

6. Tap “Send Crypto”

7. Tap “Allow Paste”

8. Tap “Paste from clipboard” or paste the address into the search bar.

9. Select the token you want to transfer  (for example, ETH).

10. Important: You must select the same chain/network you selected in Argent. In this example, we are using Base.

11. Tap “Yes, it’s supported”.

12. Enter how much ETH you want to transfer. Then tap “Preview”.

13. If it asks “Where are you sending your ETH?” select “Self-custody wallet”.

14. If it asks “Who are you sending to?” enter Layerswap under “Recipient full name” and United States as “Recipient country of residence”. Then tap “Continue”.

15. Tap “Continue”.

16. “Tap Send Now”.

17. Optional: For peace of mind, I like to double-check the address and network on the activity section on Argent.

18. Tap “Verify” and complete 2FA/Face ID.

19. Your exchange or wallet will send the assets.

20. Done! Shortly after, they’ll arrive in Argent. It took approximately 30 seconds using Base, but it’ll vary based on which network/chain you use for the transfer. 

Transfer from another Starknet wallet

Already using a Starknet wallet? Simply transfer from another Starknet wallet for less than $0.01 in seconds.

Follow these steps: 

1. Open Argent
2. Tap “Fund”
3. Tap “View your wallet address”
4. Copy your wallet address 
5. Open the Starknet wallet your want to send from (example: Argent X) 
6. Click “Send”
7. Paste your wallet address
8. Select the currency and amount you want to send, then click “Review send”
9. Click “Confirm”
10. Your funds will arrive in Argent shortly after. You’ll receive a notification on your phone when they do.

Gifting

Our newest way to onboard is to have an existing Argent user send you a gift, which you can then claim on Argent. 

Have the existing Argent user follow these steps: 

1. Go to gift.argent.xyz
2. Choose a gift design 
3. Choose an amount to gift 
4. Choose the gift currency (ETH or STRK)
5. Connect wallet 
6. Click “Create gift” 
7. Confirm the transaction in Argent 
8. The gift will be create 
9. Copy the URL and send it to the friend you want to onboard 
10. When they click the link, they’ll be prompted to download Argent. When they have set up their account, the gift will be waiting for them in their wallet.

Congratulations! Your Argent Mobile wallet is funded and ready to go.

Now that you’re set up, you can start swapping, staking, exploring DeFi and connecting to dapps with the in-app browser.
