No seed phrase
The biggest security headache of self-custody is the seed phrase. If you lose your seed phrase, you could lose everything. We realised early on that this was unacceptable, so we built the first wallets without seed phrases, enabling simple and secure wallet recovery without centralisation. Available on Argent Mobile.

Off-chain recovery
Off-chain recovery uses cloud storage like iCloud to securely store encrypted private keys. It’s how we offer simple account recovery without compromising security or relying on centralisation. Available on Argent Mobile.

Two-factor authentication (2FA)
If an attacker gets your private key or seed phrase, they can recover and drain your account. With 2FA, you are more protected. We strongly advocate for 2FA, but most wallets do not offer it today because they are not smart wallets. Turn your Argent X account into a Smart Account to activate 2FA. Argent Mobile has it by default.

Fraud Protection
Fraud Protection is our 3-tier scam detection system protecting all Argent wallets:
- Anti-phishing: we blacklist known scams and warn you before you connect your wallet.
- Transaction warnings: you know exactly what you're signing before it's too late.
- Transaction simulations: we show what will happen when you confirm a transaction.
All Argent wallets are 100% self-custody, so no one can block you from performing a transaction if you want to.
Multisig
Multisignature wallets offer an extra level of security. The Argent Multisig is the most popular wallet for teams, DAOs and financial institutions building on Starknet. Our smart wallets offer strong security, but if you’re protecting a large amount of capital, use the Argent Multisig.
